At Paw & Pestle, we are committed to protecting the privacy of veterinarians, pet owners, and all users of our platform. This Privacy Policy describes how Circle S Veterinary Hospital LLC dba Paw and Pestle (“Paw & Pestle,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our website, mobile application, and related services.

By using our platform, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information from and about users of our Services, including:

A. Information Provided by Veterinary Practices

Practice name
Address, phone number, and email
Staff names and credentials
Patient/pet information imported or entered for prescription or supplement recommendations
Integration or technical data from practice management software (if enabled)

B. Information Provided by Pet Owners

Name
Shipping and billing address
Email address
Phone number
Order history and product selections
Pet profile details (species, age, conditions, preferences)
Prescription, supplement, or wellness-related activity

C. Payment Information

Processed securely by trusted third-party payment processors. We never store full credit card numbers on our servers.

D. Automatically Collected Technical Data

We may collect:

IP address
Browser and device type
Pages viewed and time spent on the site
Cookies, pixel tags, and analytics usage data
Log files and diagnostic information

This helps us secure the platform, improve performance, and understand how users interact with our services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to operate, improve, and support our ecommerce and veterinary-integrated services. This includes:

Processing and fulfilling orders
Managing prescription workflows and supplement recommendations
Facilitating VCPR-related reminders (appointments, blood work, prescription renewals)
Providing customer service and responding to inquiries
Personalizing your shopping or user experience
Sending notifications about orders, product recommendations, and account updates
Sending optional marketing messages by email, and by text message to customers who have separately opted in to our text message program
Sending cart reminders, order updates, and prescription or refill notifications through the channels you have consented to receive
Studying product performance, safety, and outcomes using de-identified and aggregated information, as described in Section 3.D
Maintaining security, preventing fraud, and complying with legal obligations

We do not use your information for purposes not disclosed here.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not sell, rent, or license information that identifies you to anyone.

Like most online retailers, we use cookies and similar advertising technologies that share limited information with advertising partners so that we can show you relevant ads. Under some U.S. state privacy laws, this may be considered a “sale,” a “sharing,” or “targeted advertising.” You can opt out at any time through our Your Privacy Choices page, or by browsing our site with a Global Privacy Control signal enabled. This does not apply to text messaging opt-in data or consent, which is never shared with any third party.

Apart from that, we only share information when necessary to provide our services:

Practice-management integrations (if enabled)

The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

B. With Your Veterinary Practice

If you are a pet owner using prescription-related features:

This supports continuity of care and legal compliance (VCPR requirements).

C. For Legal or Safety Reasons

We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to:

D. De-Identified and Aggregated Information — Product Research

Part of why Paw & Pestle exists is to learn which products actually work. We may use de-identified and aggregated information — including pet characteristics such as species, breed, age, weight, and health conditions, the products selected, how they were used, and reported outcomes — to study product performance and safety, to improve our screening framework and recommendations, and to publish or share findings with veterinarians, research partners, manufacturers, and the public.

Before information is used in this way, we remove direct identifiers, including your name, address, email address, phone number, payment information, and account identifiers.

With respect to de-identified information, we commit that:

we will maintain and use it only in de-identified or aggregated form, and we will not attempt to re-identify it;
we take reasonable measures to ensure it cannot reasonably be linked back to you or your household; and
any third party who receives it from us is contractually required to do the same, and is prohibited from attempting to re-identify it or from combining it with other information in order to do so.

De-identified and aggregated information does not identify you and is not personal information, so the rights described in Section 5 do not apply to it. We will never share information in identifiable form with a manufacturer, supplier, or advertiser for that company’s own purposes.

If we ever wish to enroll you in a study that collects new information from you, or that would use information identifying you or your pet, we will ask for your separate, specific consent at that time. Participation is always voluntary and never affects your ability to purchase from us.

7. Text Message (SMS/MMS) Program

If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in to our text message program, Paw & Pestle may send you recurring automated marketing and transactional text messages at the number you provide. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

What we collect. Your mobile phone number; the date, time, and method of your opt-in; your consent and opt-out status; your message and delivery history; and your interactions with links we send you.

How we use it. To send you the messages you have asked to receive — order and shipping updates, prescription and refill notifications, appointment and VCPR-related reminders, cart reminders, and promotional offers — and to measure and improve the program, honor opt-out requests, and maintain records of consent as required by law.

Who we share it with. We share your mobile number only with the vendors who help us deliver these messages on our behalf, including our messaging platform provider, telecommunications carriers, and similar service providers, and only for that purpose. We will not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your text messaging opt-in data or consent to any third party for purposes unrelated to operating our text message program, and we do not share this information with any third party for that party’s own marketing purposes.

Cart reminders. Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep track of the items you place in your shopping cart, including when you have abandoned your cart. We use this information to determine when to send you a cart reminder message. If you have opted in to our text message program, that reminder may be sent by text message.

Message frequency and cost. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Paw & Pestle does not charge you for these messages, but your mobile carrier may.

How to stop. Reply STOP to any marketing text message to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at support@pawandpestle.com. Opting out of marketing text messages does not opt you out of transactional messages relating to an order or prescription you have placed; those can be stopped by contacting us.

Location. We do not collect precise geolocation data from your device, and we do not use location tracking or location-based targeting in our text message program.

8. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary to:

Provide services
Maintain accurate order or prescription records
Meet regulatory or veterinary-medical compliance obligations
Resolve disputes and enforce policies

When no longer required, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

De-identified and aggregated information, which no longer identifies you, may be retained and used indefinitely for the research and product-improvement purposes described in Section 3.D.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for adults 18 years of age or older, consistent with our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. We do not knowingly send text messages to any number we know to belong to a person under 18.
